Read the reviews of previous people that bought the shoe

Now shopping online for shoes is rather tricky. With endless displays of shoes, court shoes, brogues, flat shoes, boots, flip-flops and wedges, shopping online can be rather dangerous. It’s so easy to simply ‘add to basket’ without assessing the situation.
Now shopping in store for foot wear is quite an ordeal. With only one shoe presented first, that embarrassing catwalk before presented with the second has become a necessity. We bend down, we kick and rotate, and we will press and practically maul the shoe before deciding that perhaps it isn’t for you. So why, online; do you feel some sort of shoe master and all temperamental urges diminish?
Perhaps it’s the sparkly effect the online shopping world has on us. However shoe shopping online should require more attention. Read the reviews of previous people that bought the shoe, check the sizes and the dimensions and look at all similar footwear.
You never know when looking at a picture just how hard or soft that flip-flop will be, or actually how high that heel is or whether the shoe is actually that colour!
It’s not that shoe shopping on the internet is a bad thing; it’s a very good thing for smaller shoes that can be worn every day. However speaking from experience and pinning all hopes on those smart ‘I’m going all out with these’ pair, don’t count on pictures and impressive camera angles.
Oh and if you are going to do it, check the delivery wait, footwear tends to take a lot longer than general clothing .

Gone are the days where you bought a rather inexpensive

Shopping online may just have taken over the actual sport of shopping. Oh yes, it really is a sport! However shopping is now a care-free, no hustle and bustle peaceful environment. Sat propped up in bed with cups of tea and biscuits you can indulge in plenty of retail stores online.
Now shopping online will require several windows open at one time. This will show various shops, sizes and most importantly the prices. Gone are the days where you bought a rather inexpensive item from quite a, let’s say ‘tatty’ shop, and you had to smuggle the purchase into your handbag as you left. That shopping bag embarrassment is now gone. Ordered straight to your front door or tossed over your gate if you aren’t in, you can shop wherever you please.
Try not to fear sizes when shopping online, those that usually try everything on, from underwear to a plastic bracelet. Just embrace the easiness of this situation, if you are normally a size ten, get the ten! It is by far easier to return something via the internet than it is actually returning it to the store.
Another perk of online shopping are the amount of discounts and vouchers available. Search the web prior to purchasing and find a discount code for your desire shop, there will be one somewhere! You can’t do that in store can you?
So delivery, yes you have to pay a small amount, but think of the petrol used and all the effort it takes to traipse around shops. Online shopping will certainly eradicate all those size sixes’ and toned tums, technology taking over!

Macs are available in all kinds of colours and patterns

Our calendars might have announced the start of summer, but the ever-changing British weather doesn’t seem to have noticed. Anyone who’s been to a summer festival will recognise the begrudging notion of having to find time to shop for winter coats and hoodies; for the inevitable temperature drops at our summer festivals.
You don’t have to venture out solely for the big, thick coat though: with so many vibrant waterproof jackets and patterned emblazoned coats available, you will bring a whole new shine to your festival shop, without the bulk. Classic mac-cut coats are a key summer piece: the loose material allows you complete freedom and movement. Macs are available in all kinds of colours and patterns, so this is a great choice for those that like stand-out floral or tribal patterns, as well as those who prefer more subtle, pale pastel colours. Lightweight and with hidden pockets, this coat is a practical god-send that will keep you dry and warm in a rainy field.
Swiftly moving on to the waterproof jacket, now don’t lie, you know you will have fun shopping for this! Whether you prefer subtle pastel block colours, crazy polka dots, floral, tribal or any other patterns, this jacket is an absolute festival necessity that; and don’t doubt it, you love to stand there and just feel.
For festival fashion, throw glamour out the door, I grant you permission to embrace the inexpensive and ‘everybody knows it’ clothing. Go for practical, useful items that will ensure you can concentrate on having a good time, rather than the weather.

Pale yellows and blues adorned on a silky material

We have seen a tantalising jungle hit our shops this summer, tribal prints roaring at us from every hanger. Now we all like to be ‘in’ with the current fashion trend, but is this sending an uncertain shiver to our summer wardrobe, will this really suit me!? Of course it will! To be ‘in’ doesn’t mean attempting to slide into those rather ridiculous zigzag emblazoned hot pants; those that seem to be glued onto the mannequin.
As much as we hate to admit it, our wardrobes consist of more ‘work clothes’ than anything else. It doesn’t matter! Just because you are doing the old 9-5 doesn’t mean you have to stick to the regimented black trouser white blouse routine. A way to enhance your work wardrobe would be to just go shopping with an open mind. Pick up something you wouldn’t normally choose and try it on! Experimenting with a tribal blouse will be great, it’s not too bold or colourful but with just the right amount of pattern. Pale yellows and blues adorned on a silky material will go perfectly with your work trousers. You can also combine the blouse with a pair of dark denim jeans and a pair of heels, hello Friday night!
Don’t be afraid to ask staff, you really won’t sound stupid and they will give you good advice and always tell the truth. Shopping for ‘out-there’ fashion trends such as this can be quite daunting, especially for those of you that ‘just don’t want to be seen looking at that, I’m so old’. This mutton dressed as lamb thing should really disappear.
In fact, go ahead, try the hot pants on! Try and be a little different, always.

Summer is here and it’s all about being bold with colour.

So abandon the black and white to be loud and proud with block colour combinations. This will make for a confident and chic look this season.
So I know that shopping for this look can be daunting, however by choosing just two or three colours and sort of sticking to them, you can’t really fail. Oh and remember the bolder the better! For instance green jeans, a purple top and a yellow clutch bag work perfectly, combining this with few neutral accessories will complete your look.
A great look for a casual night out would be a light blue pastel trouser or shorts; with a bright yellow vest. By adding a block green pair of stilettos you will achieve that stand out feminine look. The beauty of these looks are that you don’t have to be wearing brand labels, you can go that quid cheaper in smaller shops and achieve this look without breaking the bank.
Now for a more formal look choose a simple beige pencil dress, combined with a bright blue patent belt and shoes. The simplicity of this outfit will allow you to make a statement with your nails, painting them a vivid pink will clash perfectly with the blue. Shopping for this bold look should be very exciting; you don’t have to spend the entire time searching for something that will match.
Just grab what you like and add it to your outfit!

Shopping for the day time is relatively simple

Have you got everything for your holiday yet? So yes, the holiday is booked and it’s all exciting; however the buying of what you ‘need’ and actually packing it... well, that’s a different story.
When shopping for holiday clothes, you do have to pack the essentials and try to eradicate that ‘just in case’ label. It is always best to shop for individual outfits before packing, and making sure that you will actually wear what you pack!
Alternating your accessories can create a whole new feel to your outfit, so don't worry about wearing the same thing twice. You can get accessories from practically every retail store, and all are usually displayed within a specific colour code, so, it’s easy!
So shopping for the day time is relatively simple. A few pairs of shorts will suffice along with a loose skirt, perhaps try and choose plain colours or denim so that you can mix and match what you wear on top. Small strappy tops are perfect for the summer sun; with a large selection of colours to choose from and all not too expensive.
Finally you arrive at the evening wear and the invitation to go a little crazy with the spending. However you actually don’t have too, by purchasing a few plain maxi dresses you will be set for those summer nights. Make sure you buy some mix and match accessories to make each look different.
It is also acceptable to take just one dress 'for best', so don’t feel guilty about the splurge on just one item.
